Morning light quietly emerges between the water and the mist.

A short, simple work for orchestra.

About the Work

This work began as Green Time, a piece for flute and string quintet.

While orchestrating the piece, a G in the horn evoked an image of the rising sun.

From there, the character of the work gradually became clearer, eventually leading to the title Sunrise.
